I am a registered Integrative Therapist based in the UK, with six years of professional experience in the field.
My integrative approach involves utilising various therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific concerns a client presents. For instance, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is highly effective in helping individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, while also equipping them with practical self-help strategies. At times, however, a more open space approach is ideal, enabling clients to explore and reflect on their experiences in order to gain insight and understanding.
Throughout my counselling career, I have had the privilege of working within a women’s charity located in an area marked by low socioeconomic status. This environment often meant that the women I supported faced significant challenges due to limited access to financial, educational, social, and health resources. Many of these individuals were dealing with difficult childhoods and ongoing trauma, finding themselves caught in a cycle of distress. My role in supporting these women was to help them navigate their past and present experiences, empowering them to move forward positively.
Currently, I am engaged with NHS Talking Therapies as well as maintaining a private practice. My work, both in the NHS and at the charity, has provided me the opportunity to assist clients with a wide range of issues, including grief, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, experiences of sexual abuse, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, and substance use—both personally and within their loved ones.
As a person-centred therapist, I prioritise allowing clients to guide their own agenda, offering an environment of non-judgmental support. I firmly believe that each individual is the expert on themselves and their unique story, possessing inherent strengths that can facilitate overcoming challenges. Taking the initial step towards a more fulfilling life requires courage, and I am committed to supporting you throughout this transformative process.
At Online Therapy UK, I am committed to providing exceptional online counseling.
